Introduction to Polygon
It was previously known as Matic Network, hence the ticker name MATIC, but rebranded to Polygon when its scope expanded. Polygon originated from four software engineers - Jaynti Kanani, Sandeep Nailwal, Anurag Arjun, and Mihailo Bjelic. All based in Mumbai.
It is one of the first structured, easy-to-use scaling solutions for Ethereum, backed by Coinbase and Binance. It's also called the "Internet of Blockchains'' due to its full-fledged multi-chain system. The token importance will grow over time and could facilitate governance and more security for the network.
How can I get Polygon, and what can I do with it?
You can now trade MATIC directly with us. It can be bought or sold anytime, anywhere. You can trade it on NBX, hodl it or earn interest on it.
Why did we choose to list Polygon?
At NBX, we are dedicated to projects/networks that use the value of the blockchain to redefine their business models while giving both retail and corporate investors new ways to invest in the cryptocurrency space. We believe that Polygon, with its easy-to-use scaling solution for Ethereum to build various applications, is necessary for the adoption.
