Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account.
When 2FA is enabled, you must enter a one-time code from your phone in addition to your password when logging in or performing important actions.
This makes it much harder for unauthorized users to access your account.
Why use 2FA?
With 2FA enabled:
- Your account is better protected against unauthorized access
- The risk of fraud is reduced
- You add an extra layer of security to your funds
App-based 2FA is required to access all features on the NBX platform.
What 2FA methods are supported?
NBX supports two options:
SMS
A code is sent to your phone
- Easy to use
- Less secure
Authenticator app (recommended)
- Generates codes on your phone
- Works without mobile coverage
- More secure
